Tokenomics & $LBM

What is $LBM?

$LBM is the core utility token within the Libertum ecosystem. It supports the long-term sustainability and adoption of the platform — distinct from the asset-backed security tokens (ERC-3643) that issuers deploy through T-Suite.

What’s the total supply?

200,000,000 $LBM tokens (200 million). Fixed supply.

Token name: Libertum · Symbol: $LBM · Supply: 200,000,000.

See the Tokenomics docs section for the full breakdown including vesting schedules and visualisations.

What’s the difference between $LBM and the security tokens issuers deploy?

Two different roles:

  • Security tokens (ERC-3643 deployed via T-Suite) represent fractional ownership of, or a contractual right against, an off-chain asset. Each offering deploys its own token contract with its own compliance rules.
  • $LBM is the platform’s utility token, used for ecosystem incentives, partner alignment, and treasury operations. $LBM is not a security token; it does not represent ownership of any specific asset or revenue stream.

Security tokens have on-chain compliance enforced by the ERC-3643 modules; $LBM has standard ERC-20 mechanics.

Why is 29% of the supply allocated to liquidity?

To ensure $LBM has deep, programmatic on-chain liquidity from launch — supporting price discovery and reducing slippage for ecosystem participants who want to acquire or dispose of $LBM.

Why is 25% allocated to Team and Founders?

To ensure long-term alignment between the Libertum team and the ecosystem. The team allocation is subject to vesting schedules outlined on the Tokenomics page.

Why is 25% allocated to Treasury?

The Treasury allocation funds:

  • Long-term ecosystem development
  • Strategic partnerships and integrations
  • Operational reserves

Treasury operations are governed by clearly-documented rules and reported on regularly.

What’s the Ecosystem & Partners allocation for?

13% of supply is reserved for partnerships, integrations, and ecosystem-building activities — onboarding new asset issuers, integrating with custody and infrastructure partners, and supporting third-party development on top of the Libertum platform.

What’s $LBM’s utility within the platform?

Where applicable, $LBM is used for:

  • Ecosystem incentives — rewarding early adopters and active community members from the 4% Community and Rewards allocation
  • Partner alignment — aligning incentives across infrastructure partners and integrators
  • Treasury operations — covering operational and development costs as the platform scales

Specific utility roles evolve as the ecosystem matures; significant updates are published on the Roadmap and through the official Libertum Telegram channel.

Are dividends paid in $LBM?

No — dividends from tokenized RWA offerings are paid in stablecoin (USDC / USDT on Base, or Cardano stablecoins for Cardano-side offerings) via S-Suite. $LBM is not used for asset-level distributions; it operates separately as the platform’s utility token.

How can I acquire $LBM?

Through liquidity pools available where Libertum has deployed liquidity. Specific exchange listings and pools are published on the official Libertum channels:
